I Took Garcinia Cambogia (60-75% Hydroxycitric Acid) As Directed For

I took Garcinia Cambogia (60-75% hydroxycitric acid) as directed for about 6 months, in which I lost about 30 pounds. Previously, I hadn't been able to lose weight in years! Then, I stopped losing weight and started gaining some (about 10 pounds) back.

About then, I developed double vision (which was diagnosed to be Graves ophthalmology). At the same time, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism.

It is unclear to me now whether the rapid weight loss that I experienced was due to the Garcinia Cambogia or the hyperthyroidism. Once, diagnosed, I stopped the Garcinia and started methimazole and have gained about 30 pounds (bringing me to about 10 pounds more than I was when I started).

Do you have any information (or intuition) about whether the Garcinia could have been the cause of my hyperthyrodism/Graves disease, or is it possible that I developed Graves coincidentally at that same time as I was using Garcinia?
