I Tend To Be A Hypochondriac, So I'm Not Sure

I tend to be a hypochondriac, so I'm not sure if this is something to monitor, ignore or discuss with my vascular surgeon. On 4/12 I was diagnosed with AAA (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm) and on 4/25 I had surgery to place a stent. I did not have an open surgery, they went in through the groin. From what all the doctors involved said, the surgery went well, from my point of view and a pain level the surgery seemed to go well, although by 4/27 i started experiencing back/abdominal pains and nausea. By 4/29 i had a low grade temp and was readmitted for tests and monitoring. They kept me for 24hrs and found nothing wrong. Pain meds and Zofran seemed to get everything under control. I saw my surgeon for post-op and he explained that he cut off blood flow to a portion of my colon and the pain and nausea is most likely a result of my body learning to compensate for that. The pain has lessened a bit each day so that i finally went off the pain meds and only had to use ibuprofen 800 to deal with any pain. I am still taking the Zofran, but now it's usually just once a day. About 5 days ago i experienced extreme constipation from being on all of the narcotic over the course of a month. I consulted with my pharmacy and took a stool softener & stimulant laxative. Even though i was fully cleared and seemed to be healed at the incision site, i tried not to strain or push but as the laxative kicked in i know that i did some straining and pushing. Now over the last 3 days i have been experiencing pain at the incision site and each day the pain level has built along with the back pain escalating. On day 1 it was around a 2. Right now it is at a 7 and that is no matter if i'm in motion or sitting still. I still have pain meds available and my next appt with the surgeon isn't for another 3 weeks. I'm just not sure if i should contact them and try to get in sooner or if i should just monitor it to see if fades. Could i have possibly done something with the pushing and straining?
