I recently had surgery on my wrist- excision of ganglion cyst- while I was in Preop my blood pressure was being monitored - it registered exceedingly high 200/? I was very anxious before even going to the hospital and always have had elevated pressure when just seeing a doctor. I have had no previous symptoms of high blood pressure and am in good shape for my age - 66. A doctor put me on Lisinopril 10mg PO qd.I enjoy a glass of red wine in the evenings and was wondering if it would hurt me to have a glass. I have only been on Lisinopril for 4 days and have been monitoring BP. After leaving the doctor's office and "relaxing" for a short time my BP was lower. Help me make the right decision.
