I Quite Smoking, Cold Turkey After About 40 Years Just

I quite smoking, cold turkey after about 40 years just over 6 months ago. The thing is I feel worst now that I ever did as a smoker. How I was able to quit was one day several of my co workers decided to light different scented candles at the same time in our inclosed offices. I had a really bad allergic reaction to them and could not breathe. The Dr I saw said I was having a severe bronchial spasms. No history of asthma. I am still having a hard time catching my breath, winded very easily and still wheezing. I though I should be feeling better by now. Do you think I am still dealing with the spasms? Who would I see for testing?
