I need to ask a urologist who specializes in male reproductive organs.
I don't really have a problem but I am curious. I am a 71 yr old male in good physical condition. I have just discovered that I have ED and have been studying the anatomy of the male sexual organs and I noticed that I seem to have an anomaly in mine. There is a ligament running along the entire top of my penis, dorsally, from the base to the glans into the base of the penis. I have watched UTube videos dissecting the penis; seen cross sections of the penis; diagrams of the reproductive organ, and researched the two suspensory ligaments of the penis. None run the full length of the penis. Mine is most evident when I stretch the flaccid penis taut and feel or pinch the top of the penis directly under the skin. There is definitely a tough triangular ligament there with two edges on the top and feeling from beneath a third, less sharp, edge at the bottom. According to my research there should only be an artery on the top of the penis between the corpus cavernosa. My penis length is about 15 to 16cm when erect. I never noticed this ligament before but according to my research the two suspensory ligaments of the penis should end at the base not at the glans. What do you think? Is this an abnormality?
