I Have Sore Throat. I Have No Fever, And Consider

I have sore throat. I have no fever, and consider myself healthy otherwise. I have recently begun using a CPAP face mask at night.
Two nights ago I felt an accumulation of nasal mucus at the back of my throat. To clear that mucus I have found that I can snort a bit and then swallow the mucus. When I tried to do this, I found that the mucus seemed hard to dislodge. After a while it eventually dislodged. I now find that I have acquired a sore throat and very painful to swallow -- like it was 70-some years ago following my tonsillectomy. Will this eventually go away?
