I Have Relapsing Polychondritis And Cannot Take Steroids. Pain Causes

I have relapsing Polychondritis and cannot take steroids. Pain causes my flares to come more often and last longer. So far the only permanent damage is some eustachion tube damage. I take 2mg of clonazepam and up to 3. Vistaril daily. methotrexate wiped me out and didn't help much. I noe have pseudo tumors in my hip and thigh, left over from toxic cobalt poisoning.
I feel that controlling the flares is important to my long term health. The Klonopin and Vistaril, along with Dilaudid that I take for spinal injuries and degeneration help, but I feel that I need to be taking more Klonopin and Dilaudid until they can surgically remove the tumors. Do you see a problem in a modest increase from 2mg Klonopin to 4mg and 5 8mg Dilaudid to 6 per day is reasonable.. Since I can't take the normal RP drugs, I don't have a lot of options.
