I Have Recurring Pain That Cuts My Breath Off On

I have recurring pain that cuts my breath off on the right upper quadrion of my body. Doctor thought it was gallbladder, but after tests, they found it's fine, so pain is still there.. it is behind my ribs and its hard to breathe. It sends sharp pains up into my back under my shoulder blade, and feels as though its smashing the air out of my lung. I do seem to have a lot of gas, with burps that are very loud. Could this be some kind of gas pocket? I have had this for three years, and it lasts about a month at a time . Got any ideas?
