I have had severe pain in L knee. I believe it started with an arthritic problem. I have a bad history of arthritis. This is the first time it has attacked my L knee. Severe pain, swelling, redness and tightness of skin. Usually last 3-5 days and dissipates. On NSAIDs....... This time pain stayed and when walking knee buckles. Saw long term arthritis doctor....knee injection with cortisone. Did not work! X-ray showed bone spurs. Just was told by office receptionist???. I had water on knee and needed another shot???? Needless to say, with all due respect, I put absolutely NO credibility on what I just heard. As soon as I finish this question I will be making an apt with an Ortho Dr.
My questions are; 1) does the knee buckle due to fluid, 2) is the pain an 8-10 (pain scale) always and what is proper correction?
Thank you!
