Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Why Have I Had Recurring Right Flank Pain When I Stand Still When Diagnosed With Scoliosis And Osteoarthritis?
I have had recurring right flank pain when I stand still for any length of time for years. I have scoliosis and osteoarthritis. But recently it has become a constant aching that is also occurring in the front of my abdomen on the right side at the bottom of my rib cage.
The pain in this region, could be related to irradiating nerve pain from a bulging disc in the lumbar or thoracic column. For this reason, I recommend performing a lumbar and thoracic spine MRI study.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
