I have had issues with multiple blood clots in the past (during breast cancer in 2000) should I consider a different option (lyrica) for severe shingle pain which can cause blood clots and other side effects. I'm currently using ( fentanyl patch which I'm currently taking ) after trying all other drugs for nerve pain such as oxycodone etc. I been battling this pain for over a year and have been under the care of my medical dr, pain clinic dr for months, hospitalize for depression and pain in June . I recently went to a neurologist who immediately said lyrica which had been suggested by my medical dr but once I spoke of the issues with with blood clots lyrica was off the table. What should I do???
