I have had head/hand and foot lice for 1.5 years and can't get rid of them. My doctor gave me Ivermectin cream and I applied it to my head and body. This got rid of them for 4 days. He sent me to a dermatologist who said I have no lice because he couldn't see them, so he would not treat me. I cut off all my hair all over my body to try to get rid of them. It slowed them down. I am now showering with dish detergent then vinegar and after showering, using white vinegar w 70% hydrophobic extracted Neem oil from the farmer's coop daily all over 2-3 times a day. It keeps them down for about 3-6 hrs...then I have to use it again. These are really tough lice, the ex-roomate who gave them to me deliberately has had them for 4+ years. The CDC also wouldn't help, but rather told me to take more showers...govt. non-intelligence. Can I get Lindane lotion over the counter anywhere? Sorry, my Visa card has been cancelled by my bank til another 6 business days when I get a new one, and my paypal is only about $7. I could send a check?
