Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had chest pain mainly in the sternum and the upper chest on both sides for the last 3 to 4 weeks now, I have been to the ER ward at the ipswich hospital they have carried out an ECG, Blood tests and a chest Xray all results coming back clear they tested all of the organs around my upper abdomon and chest and come to a conclusion that it could be reflux GERD's
The doctor told me to get mylanta and gastenz and see how it goes I have been taking for a few days and there does not seem to be any change in my condition.
It somtimes affects my sleeping as I have heart attack in the back of my mind and every now and then when I am sitting my upper chest tightens up and gets a sharp pain as if someone just poked me with a needle, I would love some advice on wether I should get other test done on the heart or weather I should see a GP to find out if I do have reflux and get the correct medication for me.
