I have had blood in my sputum (phlegm) for the past three months. I got a CT scan done and the ENT said I have chronic sinusitis with polyps. Could that cause bleeding? Also its not just drops of blood, it comes in clumps in the sputum. Please help me.

Hi I have blood in my phlegm sometimes. I went to lab and test my bloody pledgm. There was nothing wrong. Today again I saw only blood in my mouth without phlegm. I have no other symptoms, no cough! No mouth and teeth problem. What could it be? Is it dangerous.

Is it normal to cough up blood after intubation from appendectomy? I had the surgery about 26 hours ago and was discharged a few hits ago. After brushing my teeth, I felt like something was stuck in my throat and coughed up some bright red blood mixed in phlegm. It feels like there s a bit of something stuck in my throat. I called the hospital s patient advisory line who said it is normal. Do you agree?
