I Have Had A Long 2 Weeks. Ended Up In

I have had a long 2 weeks. Ended up in the ER on Tuesday, CT scan, diagnosed with diverticulitis. Sent me home with Cedfinir. The pain went away after a day. By the following Saturday, I could not even take sips of water without my stomach feeling like it was going to explode. Sunday morning went to Urgent care. Took blood work, everything normal, and x-ray which indicated that I still had ct contrast in my bowels. Sent me home with Milk of Magnesia and ducolax suppository, and than started Miralax on Tuesday through Friday. Saturday woke up with pain in my lower left abdomen, took Milk of Magnesia thinking that would help. Ended up in urgent care again for pain. The doctor that saw me (after waiting and hour) pulled up the x-ray from the Sunday before and proceeded to tell me that there was constrast still in there, but no stool. Pain all night, cramping a little different than the first pain which took me to ER. By morning, terrible cramping with small bouts of diarrhea, continued through the day until about 12 noon. Is this a common side effect from all the laxatives I was taking for no stool in my colon? It is still very tender in there and not eating except ice chips, because if I do, my tummy cramps really bad.
I am 53 yr old, 182 pounds.
