Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have arthritis in my spine -- lower back and neck. I have had a herniated disk (lower back) and sciatica and have shown signs of arthritis for years. The neck pain is worsening and is most pronounced when I sit. I am 5'3" and car seats and many chairs have higher backs or head rests that thrust my head forward and are extremely comfortable. I have lots of cramping in my feet, legs and sometimes torso. I have had tingling in my hands and feet and midsection although it comes and goes. This week I have had nausea with vomiting on Tuesday but no further signs of vomiting. I have high cholesterol but refuse to take statins as I get so much unidentified pain in joints and muscles that I am miserable. I have hypoglycemia and am on methylphenidate for ADD. I have always walked a lot but have found it more difficult to get into a routine or walk as much as I used to. I walk anywhere from 4,000 steps a day to an extreme of 18,000 yesterday. It is extremely difficult to sit comfortably for any length of time. I have been a little more tired than usual. Right now the nausea and cramping are the most bothersome. Wow when I write it all down I sound like a wreck but I am viewed as a high energy person.
