I have a question about my expired implanon?
Ok, my implanon expired as of 11/2014, however I have had no insurance and have been unable to remove it. I am wondering of the effectiveness of the implant after expiration? I had regular menstruation cycles during the effective period of the implant, and haven't noticed too much of a change, but I am having pregnancy symptoms with negative HPT results. I know some of these symptoms can be caused by other factors, and have read the hormones in the implanon may increase chances of cervical damage and possible links to cancer. As I still don't have insurance, I am just wondering if I need to treat this as an emergency or if I can wait for a bit. Thank you so much for your time.
