I have a question about Midodrine. It says... This medication should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have: high blood pressure, pheochromocytoma, thyroid disease (severe hyperthyroidism), severe difficulty urinating (due to urinary retention or an enlarged prostate).
Before using this drug, tell your doctor your entire medical history, including: heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes.
My husband has been prescribed this med. In 1998 he was diagnosed with high blood pressure, 2005 Afib, 2007 he had a total Thyroidectomy and now he just spent 10 days in the hospital with acute renal failure. He has been taken off all his high blood pressure and Afib meds and put on this low blood pressure med along with a diuretic and lasik.
My doctor is always spot on but should I be concerned with all the warnings about Midodrine and my husband's medical conditions?
