Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a question. I fell and broke my tib/fib almost 4 years ago and still have horrific pain and swelling on a daily basis. I have had 2 surgeries to remove screwed from my knee and ankle but my ortho said he was unable to remove the rod at the time! That was about 2 years ago. Is there anything else that can be done? Every doctor I turn to says there is nothing they can do for me and that I have to learn to live with pain. But even simple tasks such as walking from my bed to the bathroom can be a challenge. I work full time and half the time I have to use my cane for support to (hopefully) alleviate some pain and to keep from falling over since my knee buckles while walking sometimes.
Any advice or thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks, Amber Single mother of 2, works 40+/week
