I have a patient that was give Prolea and she had a serious reaction - muscle rigidity , Hypocalcmia, low Hgb, pain in her entire body when her calcium dropped (64 yo female who was allergic to dairy products and had kidney stones, so she had difficulty maintaining any calcium stores) I need ideas on how to keep her calcium stable - its only 8.2 after 1 month, and when does Prolea purge the calcium from her bones(how often??? Should I expect this problem on a regular basis until her injection i is next due? -Susan CNP
