Does Shaving Over The Mole Too Often Causes Cancer?
I have a mole that normally grew two hairs and recently, it stopped growing one of the hairs. Does shaving over the mole too often cause this? Is the follicle in a certain phase? Or can it be cancerous? The mole doesn’t seem to be changing size or color. Please help! I have no family history of skin cancer but as a family, we do have lots of moles, many are funky. The rest of my moles that grow hair continue to do so and they don’t appear to be changing.

Mole or melanocytic nevus may become malignant melanoma by an unknown cause. But, trauma is not the triggering factor. So,do not worry. But, due to trauma, secondary bacterial infection may occur. So, trimming the hairs on mole by scissor should be done, shaving should be avoided.
