I Have A History Of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. More Recently

I have a history of irritable bowel syndrome. More recently I have mucus in my stools. No blood and the stools are not black or dark. They have a different odd smell. Sort of acidic. I have increasing pain in the colon area. Uncomforted subsides but never completely goes away. Condition has been going on for two weeks.Several bowel movements a day are not uncommon for me.
