I have a friend who suffers from fever, chills and severe body aches, which occurs, usually once a month andlastsfor24-48hours.Herfeverrunsaround102.5, she complains that it hurts just to touch her arm. Her pain usually begins in her lower body and then works it way up. This has been going on for a year and she has had numerous tests. She has a growth on her thyroid but the specialist said that would cause the symptoms she describes. She has tested for lyme disease-neg.. Her blood work is primarily normal . She was diagnosed with osteopenia also told this would not cause her symptoms. She is seeing an infectious disease DR. next. She has not traveled out of the country. Any thoughts on what else she should/could pursue or what could cause this monthly event? She is a 58 yr. old, normal weight and other wise generally healthy. She did smoke a pack a day for many years and recently quit. Thank you
