I have ADD and CFS I started trial of Dex 5mg and the dose that worked was taking X 4 at 4am in the morning so it kicked in prior to getting up and then 2 at 11.30am I found this was good for energy but still lacked focus and concentration, I was then put on Ritalin 10mg with the same combination as above I found this medication was better with focus, concentration and moods were more stable but it lack the energy I needed for the fatigue so I'm now on combination of both but I can't seem to get the balance right, I take X 4 Dex in the morning but haven't been able to get the Ritalin dosage right and I've tried different ways of doing it with half an half dosages with no success, my psychiatrist says it's a case of trial and error and fine tuning but I can't seem find the right combination in regards to the Ritalin at this stage the only dosage right is the morning tablets, I need advice on the Ritalin as my concentration, focus and moods aren't right I know 4x Ritalin works but it feels like Dex is overriding it so it's not as effective and I'm not sure how long both medications last for or how long it takes for the Ritalin to start working.
