I had suffered a small patch of alopecia areata on my side hair when I was 20. I applied Sterioid injections and the hair grew normal again. Again at age of 26, I had small patch again I applied sterioid injections and again hair grew normally again. However, now at the age of 33 (current), I have lost big patch of hair within last 5 to 6 months, eyebrows, full beard, half sclap, side hairs, in between hairs etc and there are lot of patches.

I have tried homeopathy and ayurvedic, but I stopped the treatment in between because of urgency of situation, as the patch was increasing visibly day by day and so I tried homeopathy for 10 days, ayurvedic for 25 days, but the hair keep on lossing and patch keep on increasing.

Hence again I have decided for allopathic steroid injections, but I m afraid of it's side effect .

Can you please suggest, a good medicine which can permanently cure and does not repeat again (like steriod injections in allopathy, hair patches come back after 5 to 9 years)

any form of medicine, allopathy, hoemopathy, ayurvedic or even unani system will also do....

also please tell me about side effects of steriod..

I even had steroid tablets... zempered for about one month (twice a week)
