I Had Been On Tegretol As Regular Treatment For Bi-polar

I had been on Tegretol as regular treatment for bi-polar and I also was taking Prozac and wellbutrin. I am talking years ago. I stopped taking all three when cymbalta became available but had to go back to tegretol and prozac and wellbutrin because cymbalta was too expensive. A couple of years ago, I stopped taking tegretol because I decided on my own that I did not need it. So, I have been on Prozac and Wellbutrin only instead of Prozac, Wellbutrin and Tegretol. I have only been seeing a primary care physician and not a psychiatrist for about 5 years. there is a reason which I will explain if need be.
God, this is complicated. I have been feeling tired all the time. I am 70 years old. The Primary Care Nurse Practicioner told me yo go back on Tegretol because I was complaining of being tired all the time. Also B and D supplements.
I am trying to be meticulous about what happened and apologize since it is becoming a saga. when I started Tegretol again, I developed a facial rash. I checked online and the article said a facial rash is a side effect of Tegretol. I also found out that Cymbalta is available as a generic. So I asked the nurse practitioner to take me off of the drugs I was on and only prescribe Cymbalta. I know I am diagnosing myself. But it was okay with her.
Two months later, and I have changed Primary Care Physician, I am taking only Cymbalta for my mental problems. But I still have a horrible facial rash. The new doctor gave me a prescription for Prednizone. I had been on Prednizone for 5 days after visiting an emergency clinic. the Prednisone helped but the rash seemed to get worse after I stopped taking it. I am embarrassed to go out. I told the new doctor that I am happy yo go back to a psychiatrist and she said likely it was best but wait until she has all my records. So she prescribed Prednisone again for a longer period. I have 5 days left of the prednizone...gradually reduced dosage. The full dose helped a lot, but as the dosage reduced, my face got just awful again.
I am getting off track and sorry....what am I supposed to do? I got so frustrated tonight that I ran a razor all over my face and then soaked it in peroxide. It is not itching anyway. I also have been using hydrocortizone cream.
