I Had An Infection That Was Inacurately Diagnosed By 4

I had an infection that was inacurately diagnosed by 4 separate doctors over 5 months. I saw an ENT who did a culture - I had a staff infection and there was also a trace of yeast. The ENT also sent me for an allergy work up. I was treated for the infections and allergies and have been fine. Suddenly, I am smelling cigarette smoke and wonder if it is parosmia. Could this be a result of the infection and or treatment? How is this condition treated? Can normal olfactory function be restored?
