I Had An Allergic Reaction To Lobster Last Night I
I had an allergic reaction to lobster last night I went to the emergency room around 1 a.m. . My blood pressure was extremely high 211 / 127. My face was very swollen and it was getting difficult to breathe which is why I went to the emergency room. In the emergency room they did blood work all came back normal except for slightly elevated co2 level and anion gap level also slightly elevated my RDW level was slightly low. They also did a chest xray which came back normal. They sent me home with four prescriptions benadryl 25 milligrams to take one every 6 hours pepcid 20 milligrams take 2 times a day prednisone 20 milligrams to take one time a day and in an epi pen to take as needed. In the hospital they gave me the benadryl through IV to take the swelling down and to clear up the allergy. They kept me for approximately 8 hours until I was feeling better and sent me home. It is now 15 hours later and I'm experiencing extreme pain in my right hip and in my right leg these are currently my only symptom. In my right leg I have a 14 inch titanium rod and a total knee replacement that I had 10 years ago. I don't know if this could have anything to do with the allergic reaction but I am experiencing excruciating pain and I'm not sure if I should go back to the emergency room or not. I currently take oxycodone 15 mg for pain but it is not helping. Do you think the allergic reaction can be effecting the rod in my leg? Do you think this is an emergency situation? I am supposed to be leaving to take my son to AC in 10 hrs to a state championship wrestling tournament and i just dont know what to do? Thank you eddie
