I had a sever case of iritis in march. sudden onset with sever pain when eye was touched, extreme light sensitivity and very blood shot eyes. It initially was treated with an ointment that I put in my eyes several times a day. This cleared things up, but then it came back. Eye doc stated that it wasn't an infection this time, but my eyes were inflamed. He looked at the backs of my eyes and stated that they were inflamed pretty much everywhere. I was given a steroid to help reduce the redness. This helped, but the condition has come back twice since. They have checked for herpes and all of the standard things in my eyes and are now going to draw blood. What are some things that could be causing this? I do wear contacts, but I wear disposables, so I throw them away everyday and don't sleep in them.
