Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a mammogram on Dec 3rd and it was normal. I discovered a tumor in my right breast mid June. I am being accepted into a clinical trial for estrogen fed cancer. I am starting on Anastrozole on Wednesday. Then I will be getting shots in both hips of another drug called Fulvestrant, then possibly the shots and the pills. This will go on for 22 to 24 weeks. My doctor wants to reduce the size of the tumor so that he can do a lumpectomy instead of a mastectomy. Do you think this will work. I am worried.
