Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a fall at work exactly one month ago. nothing showed up on xray. I just had an mri this week and the findings are:
There is marrow edema involving the proximal medial aspect of the lunate with some linear associated changes consistent with at least bone contusio and incomplete fracture. marrow signal is otherwise unremarkeable, bony alignment is normal the TFC complex demonstrates mild degenerative signal without tear. the scapholunate and lunotirquetral ligaments are intact there is tensosynovitis surrounding the extensor carpi radialis longus tendon and the extensor carpi radials brevis tendon ..2 small gangloin cysts or small varix since it has been a month with no cast is it possible to just heal on its own? I have been playing my guitar for 1 hour a day with this injury will that cause it to become kienbocks disease?
