I had a ct scan because I previously had lung

I had a ct scan because I previously had lung cancer. I get one every 6 months. The last scan showed that I had a mass on my kidney. But was given no explanation as to what it meant. This scan was associated with my lungs so I just assumed it wasn't a concern of the physician on this subject. What kind of test do I need to find out what the mass is?

My father had a CT scan of his lung, and the finding is a coarse reticular infiltrate within the base of the right lung with involvement of the right middle lobe and right lower lobe. This is most likely related to chronic interstitial lung disease potentially related to previous episode of pulmonary infection or inflammation. Is this anything to worry about?

When a CT scan is done for a particular set of symptoms, does the radiolist look at all images taken, or just those where the symptoms occur? I recently had a CT with intravenous die taken from my chin to my lower abdomen for gastrointestinal issues, and I was wondering if the radiologist looks at images of surrounding organs as well, including the images of lungs which would have also been captured?

I had a ct scan of abdomen and Doctor says it incidentally picked up ill defined ground glass and nodular opacities within the lingual and a calcified granuloma in right lower lobe of lung.Doctor says its infection and to do a lung ct scan in 3 months. I m very worried. I did not tell them that I am a previous smoker. Would that have changed their opinion of the findings and is this really infection?
