Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Pain And Swelling In The Left Knee After An Injury A Cause For Concern?
I had a car accident two weeks ago and sustained an injury to my left knee. I have had xrays and an MRI which have all come back relatively normal. The MRI report said there was a low grade sprain of the ACL. However, the pain is not getting any better and my bruising and swelling is still present. I am just wondering if the MRI didn’t pick up on some other internal damage to my knee?
Kindly review with the doctor, you might be needing for repeat investigation as the tear might have extended. Better to consult the concerned doctor again.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
