Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a Transvaginal scan and this is the result. Can anyone help me understand this?
Transvaginal scan shows a normal sized globular retroverted uterus with coarse myometrial echoes. The endometrium is heterogenous, thickened with an irregular anterior endomyometrial junction. There are echogenic strips and intracavity fluid noted within the endometrium,. Both ovaries have more than 12 immature follicies. The fundal thickeness is 1.2 cm, cannot rule out an arcuate uterus. There is no free fluid in the cul de sac.
Final Impression: -Markedly retroverted globular probable arcuate uterus with mild adenomyosis -Thickened endometrium as described -Polycystic like ovaries
