I finished a 10 day treatment for strep throat (penicillin ) and on the last day I started to have the symptoms of a yeast infection ( though I took probiotics 3 hours after each dose of penicillin) . I took a Diflucan 150 on Thursday morning to try and catch it before it got severe ( my doctor prescribed it the last time after I had used Canesten suppository treatment - after a UTI treatment- and it didn't quite clear up). By yesterday (Sat.) I was still feeling discomfort, mostly in the "exterior" regions.... so asked the pharmacist if it was safe to take another dose of Diflucan. He said it was so I took another Diflucan 150. Feeling great today, the wipes also seemed to help. Question: when can we resume sexual intercourse? I want to keep the infection to myself, of course, but wonder how soon after symptoms disappear can we be sexually active again?
