I did a saline sinus rinse the end of aug.

I did a saline sinus rinse the end of aug. within a few days I had flu like sx for several days. Even my hair texture changed almost overnight. Started abx about one week later for what I thought was a sinus infx. as soon as I quit the abs 2 wks later I began to develop short term memory loss, random transient body aches. mostly joints, but some muscle, neuropathy, 2 wks ago I developed a rash on my shoulder that later resolved. Some days are good with few sx. Others are painful days and I can't figure out simple ADLs. However I am aware of the sx, as opposed to not being cognizant of what is going on around me.

Hi, i ve been having sinus problems for the past year but the last 2 weeks have been horrible. Two weeks ago on monday i had bad ear pressure/fluid in my ears in my left ear, and overall pressure on my left side of head. I ve been kinda lightheaded and shaky for the past two weeks also. Finally was able to go to the ent specialist and is having me do a sinus rinse, a steriod and nose spray. Started the rinse yesterday, and today when i did it it hurt, it burned going throught the nostrils. Is that normal for the first few times? Also I now have really bad pressure on my right side, left side is a bit better, still have the slight lightheadedness and shakiness. Is it normal for sinus pressure to switch sides like that, i ve never had that happen before.

Hi, I am being treated for a sinus infection that started 5 days ago and seems more difficult to get rid of. I started on Amoxicillin 500 MG yesterday afternoon. I have also been taking Mucinex and using Extra Strength Tylenol because of sinus pain and fever (ranged from 99 to 101). My upper sinuses are still irritated. My main question ...I use a netipot for saline rinses on a regular basis and also take Loratadine 10mg one a day. Am I drying out my nasal passages too much. Winds in S CA are also a factor right now & co-workers sick with similar ailments. I don t have 67 year old healthy woman who still works full time Amy other tratement to heal my sinuses and get rid of 99.2 that I have this afternoon after rest.

I had an (untreated by antibiotics) sinus infection that seems to be going away, but still have non opaque, slight yellow tint, watery mucus coming from my right side sinus. It is slightly sticky and is coming out when I lean forward. It doesn t look like a normal runny nose due to the slight color and sticky feel. I started detecting the yellow color getting a little darker throughout the day today. Is this normal? Seems strange so I want to inquire about this fluid as it doesn t seem like the normal runny nose mucus. Any cause for concern? (Some background: I started getting sick Monday 6/19, peaked on Fri 6/23, and felt much better today, but concerned about the fluid I am seeing. I flushed the sinuses with Neil Med flush once on Saturday. The rest of the time, I used just a saline rinse to flush the sinuses, Vicks Vaporub on neck and chest, and lots of OJ and water. I also used Afrin metered dose spray on Thursday and Friday in an attempt to open up the blocked passages. The mucus was mostly thick, opaque light yellow (slight green the morning of Friday 6/23, but returned to yellow, with little sign of blood).)
