I believe I have tmj - woke up yesterday morning and my right jaw was very tender and that side of my face is swollen. I have a history of grinding my teeth and have been diagnosed before but never have I woke up like this. Ice packs seem to help bring the swelling down, but when I woke this morning it was more swollen. Also my left eye at the same time is very red and seems infected. When should I see a doctor or with taking anti-inflammatory drugs and ice packs take care of it?
