I Assumed That Red Bumps, On My Left Inner Ankle

I assumed that red bumps, on my left inner ankle were shingles(my third time having them but first time on the left). This was Thursday eve. The next morning a similar patch of red bumps on my right ankle. This was on the top of my ankle/leg. The bumpy areas were now very red w surrounding skin. The areas did not itch, they burned. The ARNP at my clinic said no to shingles but treated as such anyway. I was in such pain by the afternoon that I decided to call my ARNP at the dermatologist .. she said not shingles, and decided to do biopsies because of other symptoms she was aware of. I'm being seen by a rheumatologist. (Swollen knuckles, parotid gland infections/swelling x4 since June, heel pain since June as well)
I exercise frequently and maintain great health aside from these new symptoms. Today the bumps are there, skin is not as red, still swollen.

Waiting on lab/X-ray results from rheumatologist.
