I Am Suffering From Fast Heartbeats. Is This Normal ?

Last night at around 11:00 o clock i ran home from my friends house and my heartbeat was going fast like it should. But ever since then it s still going fast. I think it may be because i m excited because we have a basketball tournament today n i think about it and think about going to eat with my friends and stuff. is this normal ?
