I am having some pain in both of my ovaries

I am having some pain in both of my ovaries. I used to have this type of pain, and was told by a doctor that I happen to be one of the women who can feel themselves ovulate. Well that is what this feels like to me, but I am on birth control. A week ago is when it started, and I first notice it because it hurt during sex. Later that night I came down with the stomach bug... and a week later my ovaries are still hurting. Any ideas? Last saturday was exactly 2 weeks into my new pack of pills, which would have been the exact day I would ovulate. My husband is a little worried about pregnancy now...

it is unlikely it is pregnancy but it seems it is something to do with the congestion that is causing the discomfort. get an ultrasound examination of the abdomen done. also you can get the urine pregnancy test done to know the status of the pregnancy.
