I am going to see a heart spec. on wed.29th in winnipeg canada with the hope of after going through a battery of tests for my pvc arithmia problems that he will recomend me for rf ablation. When i take those tests and then wear a 24 hoster i promise that just doing and eating normal things that i normally stay away from that mostly trigger my problem, my heart will be in arithmia for a min. of 8 hours and possibly the whole time, by the way how many pvcs is that? cause a few months ago i had a 5 day str. episode of this till i finally went to the hosp. and had an ekg showing my abnormal beats and thats when it ended shortly after that i guess cause i felt calm that i was finally getting help. I thought i was going to need a jolt to restart my heart rythem. The distressing thing was when i finally saw an em room doctor and told him what i just went through and asked him the same Q. i am asking you he said NO THE SPEC WILL PROB. TELL YOU ITS NOT BAD ENOUGH....Not bad enough 100+ hours STR. of arithmia if not me than who? So do you think that and an ave. of 6-9 hour a day of this will be enough for him to rec. rf ablation or what more will he need and i can show up for tests already in that wacky heart state too if that might help his dec. This problem has been getting prog. worse over the years to the point now that when it happens i just accept it and just wait for it to go away many hours later. Something that would send the ave. person screaming to the em. ward is unfort. old hat for me..thats how bad this has gotten esp. in the last few months. I will not take beta blockers because of their spotty results and side effects not to mention its just a bandaid on the problem itself not a solution so it ablation or bust for me up here in canada. So tell me what more might the spec. need to hear or see in these upcoming tests he will send me for to recomend rf ablation. I am 57 yrs old 62 175 in amazing ph. condition work out at least 10hrs a week not to mention rarely take the elevator to my 17th floor apt. walking 1/3 of the time and running 2/3 of the time in spite of this condition and through prev. hosp. tests have been diagnosed with an a+ heart minus of course this defect that i am sure is vagas nerve related big time and my diet is usually incred. healthy. Do not smoke or drink or do drugs no caffine, do have some stress issues from time to time but not huge or most importantly long term in their nature. So tell me doctors how can i be refused this procedure so i can get my life back on track? Is 20 to 40k palps on that 24 hour monitor enough to show him or what else does he need to see in my upcoming tests?
