I am currently taking a whey isolate protein (50 cc scoop with coconut milk) drink in the morning to supplement my protein--the isolate form because I am lactose intolerant. I take only once per day, and it gives me about 18 grams protein per serving. Is there a danger of this affecting my liver or kidneys? I am a 74 year old, 130 lb. woman. My blood pressure is normal, I am not diabetic, my thyroid hormone level is on the low side but being corrected with levothyroxine, and my LDL cholesterol is on the high side.
