I Am Concerned About Getting AD Because My Mother Died

I am concerned about getting AD because my mother died from the disease at the age of 67; and, my maternal grandfather had similar symptoms when he died at 69; but, the medical community only called it dementia in the mid 1960s. My aunt, my mother's younger as well as only sibling, also died from AD. I think that she was in her late seventies to early eighties; and, in her last two or three years she was cared for in a medical facility. I am now 71 years of age.

My retention has never been perfect; so, I'm constantly looking for ways to determine if I'm in the beginning stages of AD, or simply experiencing 'information overload'.

My diet is usually fish, chicken, vegetables and fruit. And, I usually mix green tea with aloe vera juice as my beverage of choice once I heard about the juice on a segment of an old Doctor OZ show about ten or more years ago.

I've tried to find AD studies nearby, but nothing has materialized in my area so far. Can you help?

Sincerely,

Bonita Morse
