I am a white male, 50. About a month or maybe more ago, I noticed reddish blemishes on my penile shaft. (3 of them that look like they may be slightly raised, plus a red line or fissure looking mark on the underside.) They remind me of scar issue, but are generally round in shape, 3/8 to 1/2 inch diameter. They are slightly uncomfortable after sex, mild pain, like with scraped skin. I noticed dryness around the same time I discovered the blemishes. I have been using Shea butter oil to stay hydrated. I recently abstained from all sexual activity for 8 days, and although the blemishes may have looked a little better, they were agitated again after sex. Does this sound like anything you may have heard of? I've been married for 21 years and I'm 99.99% sure there has been no promiscuity on my wife's part, so I think an STD would have to be something contracted a long, long time ago. Thanks for any input. I know I'll probably have to see a dermatologist, but I'd like to get an idea of what might be going on first.
