I Am A Type 1 Diabetic -- Have Been For

I am a type 1 diabetic -- have been for 60 years and I'm 63 years old. My diabetes is in fairly good control and I see my end regularly. Today (3 1/2 hours ago my blood sugar tested at 311 on my glucometer. I had last tested at noon (6 hours previous ) and my blood sugar was 168 which I corrected with a 1 unit bolus from my insulin pump.I had about 3 oz of chicken salad for lunch and no carbs or food of any sort the rest of the day. At 6 pm I tested at 311 which I corrected with a 5 unit bolus delivered from my pump. I've continued to test each hour and I'm now back down to 168. My biggest concern (for the time period between 6 pm and now) is that is that I was extremely dizzy at 6 and am still feeling a little dizzy now. I have felt dizzy in the past with a high blood sugar but it usually goes away as my blood sugar drops. I also felt suddenly nauseous when the dizziness came on and that has lessened, too. I'm worried that these symptoms could be indicative of something else---such as heart attack.( My BP is always low-- around 90/60 and my cholesterol is 165.) Any input would be helpful, but wondering if I should go to ER.
