I am a 73 yo white male, have worked in distribution centers requiring walking on concrete, pushing a "pick" cart with loaded totes (6) on them around corners, and little physical conditioning after being raised on a farm with a good set of callouses from using a pitch fork.
I am married with a wife with Parkinson's on Sinemet and Comtan with some mild mental impairment. She has lost substantial weigh still weighs approximately 120 lbs. I am primary caregiver having to get her out of bed for bathroom use, etc.
I am taking Glucosamine and Chondroitin, Ostercal with Vitamin D as well as several pain relievers along with Co-enzyme Q 10, Ibuprofen and aceteminofen and occasionally ASA. The pain is pre-dominantly in my shoulders and left knee. Any ideas about what I can do to alleviate this?? I'm trying to do less physical work at work and less pulling and moving my wife physically at home though my frustration is coming out and "occasionally" I pull her around anyway. Any ideas?
