I Am A 60 Year Old White Female. I Just

I am a 60 year old white female. I just had an MRI and the orthoped dr said it is a full thickness tear (?) and that I also have a ruptured bicep. I believe the cause of my injury was 3 years ago when I was vacuuming a rental apt I own and had to finish quickly. I kept pushing the vacuum and it was not moving easily on the carpet. I saw a dr and we decided to try PT. I have gone off and on (mostly on) since then. I am very active - mowing grass, gardening, cleaning my house and my rental apt when it comes vacant, lifting things, working with weights at my health club, doing TRX. I am very committed to keeping an exercise routine and to doing PT exercises. My questions: 1) how likely is it that surgery for my rotator cuff would be successful given my age? FYI, I was able to do 60lbs on the overhead pull down machine at my club. 2) Can a ruptured bicep be repaired or can it heal? If it can heal, in general what would I do? I will be seeing my orthoped dr on Thursday next week. Thank you.
