Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 56 year old female with diabetes, high blood pressure, left Trigeminal Neuralgia and overweight. This is the second year that I have had trouble with a frozen shoulder and pain primarily to the left scapula. Each time I get a cortisone shot in my neck and shoulder and it works for a week or two. Last year that worked with PT twice a week for about 6 weeks. In Feb. it started again and the shots lasted for about 5 days. THe Orho told me to lose weight and reminded me that I was diabetic. I continued PT and went to another doctor who does not see the relationship between being overweight and my shoulder pain. Almost 3 months, I am still in PT. A Shoulder MRI showed a posterior labral tear and calcifications of the affected shoulder. I am waiting for a few more weeks before I see the Ortho Doc who specializes in shoulder pain. My question is what could this be?
