I Am A 45 Year Overweight White Female. I Have

I am a 45 year overweight white female. I have had recurrent itching all over my body for the last 14 weeks. It is worse in folds in skin. Initially it was diagnosed as poison ivy or oak and steroids were prescribed. The condition continued. I returned to dr for a follow up and he referred to dermatologist. Dermatologist did a biopsy which came back w "contact dermatitis" and prescribed more steroids. I have also been on antibiotics during this time as well. I have a weakened immune system as a result of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia and my body does funny/odd things. I've had that since 2003 and my platelets have been low normal without requiring treatment. I had Rituxan for several treatments in 2003 and no further intervention has been required.

I gave been treated for scabies, mites, poison ivy, poison oak, contact dermatitis, Lupus and contact dermatitis. Nothing has helped.

I take a hot bath every morning usually about an hour. I was told that my blood work indicates that I have now entered menopause. I've eliminated soaps, shampoos, laundry detergent etc. It's actually gotten worse since I removed possible offenders.

We've eliminated possible offenders and I take Benedryl to help with itch. I wonder if because of my weakened immune system....it could be a systemic yeast infection?
