I Am 59 Years Old And Very Small Built Frame.

I am 59 years old and very small built frame. I am post menopausal since I was 49 years old and have had problems with bone loss. Even in 2009 my Dexa exam showed a l2 -4 T -score of -.2.2 and Femoral Neck T-Score of -2.6. I took Boniva for 5 years but then as suggested by my PCP to no longer take it so that if necessary I could go back on it in 5 years. In September of this year I requested a Dexa test again and to my dismay my T-scores are much worse. L1-4 is at -2.9 and my Femoral Neck score is at -3.5. I asked both my PCP and endocrinologist what I should take for this now because I am really concerned. They recommended Prolia or Xgeva. I am a Type 1 Diabetic and still actively go to the gym and am 5'2" weighing 105 lbs. I have had some jaw issues in the past, not for a long time but some of the side effects I'm reading do have me concerned. What would you recommend for treatment for me and can I improve these scores and build bone mass to a rate where maybe I only am Osteopena rather than osteoporosis? Would really value another professionals opinion on this. Thanks Dawn
